Hatha yoga, breath-work, meditation, deep relaxation, and mindfulness are modalities that provide empowering, practical, and accessible self-care tools. In addition to increasing well-being, these practices also train the mind to increase focus, concentration, willpower, and memory.
When combined with exploration of philosophies such as Buddhism, Yogic philosophy and psychology, or Taoism, individuals experience a deeper understanding of self and improved relations to others, and the world around them. Concepts such as non-attachment, equanimity, right-action, loving-kindness, can have life-enhancing qualities when understood and integrated into daily life.

Sometimes life’s challenges can be overcome with a shift in perspective and the addition of few extra tools. This individualized series of sessions offers breath work, mindfulness and/or mindful movement practices, meditation, as well as Eastern wisdom concepts and principles tailored to the specific challenge you are struggling with. Past challenges addressed with clients included:

This package consists of 8 private sessions for 1 individual. Sessions can be held virtually through Zoom, in-person at my office, or on-site at client’s home. (60 mins/class)

Take your yoga practice beyond being a just a form of physical exercise. Learn a classical hatha yoga practice that includes pranayama (breath work), surya namaskar (sun salutations), asanas (postures), deep relaxation, and mantras. Each yoga class begins with lessons from traditional yogic texts such as Patanjali’s Yoga Sutra and The Hatha Yoga Pradipika, along with profound quotes from various Indian Master Yogis. Classes can also be tailored around a specific life challenge. This class works well as a supportive holistic modality for individuals with PTSD.
A standard package consists of 8 private classes for 1 to 10 individuals. Classes are available on-site only, with client providing the appropriate space within the Victoria area (90min/class).

Mindfulness and meditation are receiving a lot of attention these days, but what is the hype all about and where does one even begin? Learn the difference between mindfulness and meditation, along with the benefits of both practices. Become established in a foundational breath-focused meditation, while exploring various other meditation practices. At the same time, learn how to integrated mindfulness in your day-to-day living.
Common meditation themes explored:
• Gratitude
• Body-awareness
• Compassion for self and others
• Tension release
• Self-regulation

This experiential self-care class is designed to teach simple, effective ways to decompress and recharge while on the go. Through the use of mindful breathing and specific yoga postures to relieve symptoms of stress such as sluggish digestion, anxiety, muscle tension and difficulties sleeping, participants are sure to leave the session feeling at ease.
Price includes a maximum of 10 participants. Classes are only available on-site with client providing the appropriate space within the Victoria area.
Single session (60 mins): $120 +GST
Package of 8 sessions (60 mins/session): $960 +GST -

There are common challenges all humans face: facing an unexpected change, initiating change, life transitions and identity, grief and loss, burn-out… Others ask “the big questions”: Who am I? Why am I here? What is this thing called life? I offer various workshops that provide space to explore life’s challenges and big questions from a different angle. Along with mindfulness practices, breath work, and meditation, thought-provoking questions are posed for personal reflection. “Food for thought” is offered for contemplation and discussion. It’s a rich learning opportunity with a “take-what-you-need” approach and follows the tradition of Eastern wisdom teachers who instruct their students to never believe what they are taught, but to test it and experience it for themselves to come to their own conclusions.
